Documents and conversations
Kodro stores your original PDFs, extracted text, search indexes, project details and saved conversations. The original PDF stays unchanged. You can inspect the extraction and make a correction when needed; reviewing every page is not required.
Documents are private to their workspace. Chats belong to the person who created them. Source links check current access when opened.
How AI uses your sources
When you ask a question, Kodro retrieves relevant passages and sends those passages, your question, relevant conversation context and the engineering instructions to OpenAI. It does not send your entire library with every question. Text embeddings may also use OpenAI when enabled for a document.
PDF layout and table extraction currently run with local parser models. General questions use model knowledge without PDF evidence and are labelled as unverified against references. Automatic mode can use this path when no supporting passage is found. Live internet research is not connected. We do not claim Canada-only AI processing.
Keep the original in view
Extraction and AI can miss information or make mistakes. Check the cited page, edition, conditions and applicability. An engineer must validate an answer before applying it to a design.
Kodro does not supply a licensed code library or certify compliance. The public demonstration uses fictional text written for Kodro and a fixed sample response.
Removing content
Deleting a document removes it from research and starts background file cleanup. Related saved answers and chats are removed too. Deleting a chat leaves its source documents in the library.
Previously downloaded copies and provider backups have separate lifetimes. You can find cleanup status and more detail in workspace settings.
During the preview
The current setup uses Canadian Azure staging and Supabase storage and database services, with local development on the operator’s PC. Public registration and live purchases are closed. Contact the person who invited you for access or support.
These pages use an appearance preference and essential sign-in cookies, with no advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Commercial terms and service commitments remain to be finalized before a paid release.
